Lane Harris Allen, PhD, MD, was a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia as well as a professor and department chair of MCG's Gross Anatomy. This collection consists of Dr. Allen’s research notes regarding the history of the Medical College of Georgia and includes photographs and drawings, and a brief written history of the MCG Department of Anatomy.

Dr. Joseph Eve Allen was the grandson of Dr. Joseph Adams Eve, a founding faculty member of the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Allen graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 1877. He served as dean of the school from 1906-1910.

This collection consists of oral histories on the 1970 Augusta riots collected by Patrick Timmons' Historical Research Methods Class.

This collection includes two issues of Polylogue: Vol. 1 (7), 20 July 1970, and  Vol. 1(9), September, 1970.  These issues report on the Augusta Riot and the Charles Oatman murder.

Histories were recorded as part of a larger project which remains unfinished. The work did give rise to a series of public discussions "Help Recover History: Let's Talk About the 1970 Riot. Sea Stachura was moderator and the panel consisted of riot witnesses and a university professor

This collection is comprised of lecture notebooks recorded by students at the Medical College of Georgia and other medical schools. When given on the notebook, the name of the student is given and the date. Name of lecturer and school is sometimes given on the notebook and is listed here.

Dr. Thomas R. Wright received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1876. He taught at MCG for 47 years, first as professor of anatomy and later as professor of surgery. He was known as a skillful surgeon. Dr. Wright served as dean of the Medical College of Georgia from 1894-1896.
